Elijah, of Coral Academy of Science in Las Vegas

Elijah’s winning design includes a desert bighorn sheep, the Nevada state animal, standing on red/orange landscape next to a blue panel that includes the words “Battle Born,” a reference to the fact that Nevada joined the Union in 1864, during the Civil War. Gov. Sisolak congratulated and met with Elijah and his class in a video conference on Feb. 16, 2021. Click here to learn more.
